ESCADA Portuguese Restaurant Macau

SANGRIA

HOME MADE CHEESE

CHORIZO FLAME GRILLED AT THE TABLE

SARDINES IN CHILLI OIL

STEWED OCTOPUS RICE

PORTUGUESE SUCKLING PIG

LEMON AND EGG WHITE DESSERT

I was determined to try a traditional Portuguese restaurant while in Macau, so was very happy to come across Escada while meandering through the historical quarters of the city.  Escada is set over two floors and presented in a simple but authentic European style.  The menu is quite extensive offering an array of appetizers, seafood, and of course the famous pork dishes.  I recommend the chorizo grilled at the table, spicy sardines served in olive oil, the suckling pig which can be ordered whole in advance for larger parties.  The service was attentive and personable and all the dishes were tasty with a distinctly authentic Portuguese style.  A definite must try in between hotel dining and gambling.
